The Sussex Cancer Fund was established in 1981 to work with the NHS to create new and improved facilities providing the best possible cancer care for Sussex.
Since then, £3 million has been raised to make the Sussex Cancer Centre more attractive, comfortable and effective.
The fund has been the focus of much of Stuart & Partners’ fundraising efforts over the last decade, and at the last count we’ve sent over £35,000 their way. They provide fantastic support to patients and their families, through paying for a range of equipment and services to helping with the day-to-day extra costs that would otherwise make the experience even more stressful and difficult.
And we were pleased to find out that some of the money we’ve raised has gone towards further improvements to their base at the Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre, located at Haywards Heath’s Princess Royal Hospital.
The funds raised provided some new chairs and tables for the patient’s comfort, with additional money being put towards new trolleys and electric equipment.
Sam Wells, managing director of Stuart & Partners, said: “Stuart & Partners are proud of their long association with the Sussex Cancer Fund, a charity that does incredibly valuable work supporting cancer patients all over Sussex as well as aiding much-needed research.”
“It’s great to see the money we raised being put to good use, and we’re hoping to raise even more for them on our charity golf day later in the year!”
Stuart & Partner’s golf day in aid of the Sussex Cancer Fund will take place on Saturday 15 October. at Singing Hills golf course. Check out our Twitter account nearer the time for further details.
